Coop Fun with a big group

The game does a good job at the 'insider threat' mechanic. You never know who might be infected (provided the infected work to hide their intent). There can be some balancing issues here and there if the infected person isn't a good liar or the group works out who it is immediately and then just never takes them on missions. However, in my last playthrough, I was infected and managed to lay the blame on another player who kept defending themselves to no avail. The group turned on them and it was only in the last moments that my plan to stow away was uncovered.

If you are a fan of the film The Thing or if you enjoy a good cooperative board game, then I highly recommend The Thing: Outpost 31. It is a well-made, suspenseful, and a lot of fun to play.
