PRODUCT INFORMATION
Take over the world in this game of strategy conquest, now with updated figures and improved Mission cards. In the Risk game, the goal is simple: players aim to conquer their enemies territories by building an army, moving their troops in, and engaging in battle. Depending on the roll of the dice, a player will either defeat the enemy or be defeated.
This exciting game is filled with betrayal, alliances, and surprise attacks. On the battlefield, anything goes! Defeat all of the enemy troops in a territory to conquer that territory and get one step closer to global conquest! The player who completes his or her secret mission first and reveals the Secret Mission card to prove it -- wins. And remember when it comes to taking over the world, it's all about who is willing to take the biggest Risk. Hasbro Gaming and all related terms are trademarks of Hasbro.
LEVEL UP YOUR GAMING EXPERIENCE
Yeah we still haven’t played it yet, I think we will need a good few hours and quite a bit of instruction
Ordered the game - arrived the next day. Fantastic!
I have always wanted to play this classic game. Was excellent. All I imagined and More. I have since downloaded the app so I can continue to play solo
Great service, thanks!
Set more or less during the Napoleonic Wars when the whole world was dragged into conflict, Risk is simply a game of conquest.
In Risk, the goal is simple: players aim to conquer their enemy’s territories by building an army, move their troops, and engage in battle. Depending on the roll of the dice (all luck), players will defeat the enemy or be defeated.
Risk is an old veteran. The tactile soldier miniatures, the epic sweep of the board prefigure many of its modern rivals. Some may be frustrated by its long playing time and reliance on random elements but it is still much loved and held in nostalgic affection.
The game is long. It really is. It can take from 2 hours to a few days to finish the game as fortunes wax and wane. The final few hours can have that Monopoly feeling of slowly watching one player dominate and then gradually win. Each player’s turns can feel like forever at times, as the game develops. Playing the Mission cards version with more specific goals can really help to reduce play time and create a level of suspense.
With easy to learn rules, and providing alternative ways to play this game of conquest, it’s also a game where you can easily adjust rules to transform the game into something more personal.
