Review: Its good.

Great game, but expensive (particularly given more books needed)

Pathfinder Second Edition is a great Tabletop Roleplaying game and, in my opinion, offers far more depth and customisation than 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons. This book is an update to the original 2nd Edition rules - the two are highly compatible and this version makes few dramatic changes.

On the plus side, the layout of this book is great - things are generally very easy to find and important rules are repeated in a few relevant spots, making it easier to find what you need. Character creation is fairly well guided, with the relevant information and choice requirements placed one after the other so that a new player might be able to build a character step-by-step.

I have two negative points about the book:
1 - This book only contains player rules, and even then only contains about half of the playable character classes. This would not be so bad if it were not for the fact that the book it replaces was cheaper _and_ included all of the Player and GM information. As it is, you actually need to buy two _more_ expensive books to use the Remastered rules than buying a single “Legacy” 2nd Edition Pathfinder rulebook.

2 - A minor quibble - Character Feats are sprinkled across multiple sections of the book. While it’s handy to have Class Feats near the Class Description, Ancestry Feats near the Ancestry etc, I did find myself jumping around a lot trying to reference various Feats, particularly when selecting an Ancestry Feat that provided access to a General Feat.
