Marvel Crisis Protocol: Strange Place, Wong Time

I am new to Marvel Crisis Protocol, but knew I wanted some kind of mystical character to go with my “good guys”.

So who better Togo to, than the Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange, and his stalwart companion, Wong.

One thing I did not realise, is that Doctor Strange is the Leader of the Defenders affiliation, along with his mindstone, and Wong, that makes up three members in one box. One of my first purchases was Hulk, so that is four. No Silver Surfer, or Namor in the range at present, as far as I know, but I bet they are coming.

I also have Spider-Man, and Valkyrie is on the way, so I have a decent Defenders affiliation without even trying.

Doctor Strange lives up to his reputation on paper. He has powerful attacks, and some healing.

Wong appears to be primarily a healer, and gains some serious defensive buffs while within range of Strange.

As with all of the MCP miniatures, there are lots of… questionable choices as to how they are put on the sprues, with lots of tiny details that need to be glued on, including tiny hands. Strange is meant to appear to be levitating, as he is glued in to a spell circle, with his feet well off the base. This looks great, but is stressful to put together.

All in all, a decent expansion. MCP is a relatively expensive hobby, so this pack is well priced for the contents.
