Great cooperative game for family. My 10 year old loves it as do we.
Granddaughter loves the game and we all appreciate the collaborative nature of Forbidden Island
game is easy to learn and game times are relatively short. If you like other co-op games like pandemic you will like this one as well, same issues with alpha player dominating exist here also.
Because the game area is smaller while it is challenging it feels less of a brain drain than the others so good to fit in between longer board games.
Different fun game everyone has to work together to get off the island. Not compete against each other. Fun 9yo and up play it. While family game.
This is a great family (max 4) game if you want something where you all are working together instead being in a competition.
It's simple to learn and does feel like a (short) adventure. Working against the game brings everyone together and when you do finally manage to win, everyone can share the glory.
Bonus - As you get better at the game, you can up the difficulty each time - and if the game becomes too easy, check out the sequel 'Forbidden Desert'.
