I have played Forbidden Island several times with my children, and even playing it on more challenging levels, have outwitted the game every time. Desert Island, However, has not been a walk in the park. We have played it twice so far on Novice mode, and died both times. Juggling multiple concepts of thirst, and being buried alive whilst the desert gets harder to get through makes it a hard game to play. Don't think if you have played the original you will be just be repeating the same thing with a different scenario. Play if you love a challenge.
We’ve really been enjoying another great strategy game. Love the difference in this one with working together as a team against the board. We already owned forbidden island and wondered if this would be too similar but found it has different twists to it and so enjoying it just as much. Challenging and satisfying, Highly recommend.
Best easy to get into co-op game
This is the ultimate teamwork game. The table talk and team planning makes this an amazing co-op game. Winning takes skill, luck and a last minute panic.
Awesome game that is really challenging no matter how many people you're playing with. I love playing solo games to control the map but more often than not I'm buried in the sand. It's a fun co-op game that is quick and easy to learn and is re-playable.
