Call to Adventure is a hero-crafting game that combines strategy and storytelling. It’s similar to some “tableau-building” games where you’re creating a kingdom or civilization, but in this game you’re building a character.

Each player begins with cards that define your hero’s origin, motivation, and destiny. Over the course of the game, you overcome challenges and gain traits. It’s a game with points and a clear winner, but the highlight of every game is telling your hero’s story at the end.

I am a big fan of the books, and I was fascinated by the premise of the game. Absolutely love it! I originally ordered the game from Amazon, but after two weeks they failed to inform me that it had been lost in transit. So I got a refund, and looked elsewhere. Gameology came highly recommended, and for what it cost to buy the game and get express shipping, I was still saving a couple of dollars. Enjoyed playing it so much I also ordered the Core Game from Gameology as well. And now I'm looking forward to combining them for even more variations and fun!

Great narrative game

Mechanics are easy to learn. Played this with my kids who picked up the game easily enough. While there’s a lore booklet for those that haven’t read the books, fans will enjoy crafting a story on Roshar.
