From BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War*, this Banpresto figurine depicts Ichigo Kurosaki in his new form, Blood Chains Ichigo. Part of the MAXIMATIC collection, it stands approximately 23 cm tall and depicts the protagonist in one of his most powerful transformations from the final arc.
This version captures the distinctive features of the Blood Chains form: Ichigo is depicted in his semi-Hollow state, with two horns reminiscent of his full Hollow transformation and spiritual energy taking the form of blood chains around his neck, hands and legs. The sculpture emphasises a combat stance and an imposing silhouette, hallmarks of the MAXIMATIC range.
The Blood Chains transformation is a creation specific to the animated adaptation of BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War. The anime’s official website states that this new appearance was designed and named by Tite Kubo, the manga’s author and general supervisor of the series, for his appearance in episode 45, ‘DEFEND YOU’.
