Simple, fun, and thematic

The rule for this game are simple enough for them to be quickly picked up. I will say that there are some questions that come up that could use a FAQ to explain, but overall the rules are clear.
The way that you slowly escalate the game and expand skills, means that new players are not overwhelmed first time playing. Combined with the player aids this makes the game easy to play.
There are a number of times where it is easy to describe the actions thematically, such as He-man pummeling a minion then throwing it at another character.
I have played about a half dozen games so far trying 1,2, and 4 vs AI and 1, 2, 4 vs controller. All modes have been fun but the AI is often more of a battering ram than a tactical player. An escalation system for the AI would be good. I wish I had found this on kickstarter with the box of power expansion as I can see the team selections becoming standard after a few more games.
